MOLCONE® D is a silicone-based (organosilicon) polymer, widely recognized as Dimethicone. This carefully manufactured clear, colorless, and odorless liquid is used as a processing aid in food applications, primarily to control and prevent foam formation during manufacturing processes.

Application: MOLCONE® D is used as an anti-foaming agent in food processing to control foam formation. It is applied in frying oils, syrups, and beverage systems. It improves process efficiency and product consistency.

3 Solubility Practically insoluble in water, very slightly soluble or practically insoluble in anhydrous ethanol, miscible with ethyl acetate, with methyl ethyl ketone and with toluene.
4 Acidity Not more than 0.15 mL of 0.01 M sodium hydroxide is required to change the colour of the solution to blue.
5 Viscosity 90 % to 110 % of the nominal kinematic viscosity stated on the label, determined at 25 °C
6 Mineral oils Specified test.
7 Phenylated compounds Absorbance of the solution is not greater than 0.2.
8 Volatile matter Not more than 0.3%.

PACKAGING

MOLCONE® D is packed in HDPE Drum or IBC Packing having bar-coded label.

SHELF LIFE, STORAGE AND PACKING

The shelf life is 3 years. Preserve in tight containers.
